Stardog Bookkeeping

Terms of service

Last updated September 30, 2026

The short version: we keep your books in your own Xero or QuickBooks account. You stay in charge of your business decisions and your tax filings. The money check is free, the monthly service can be cancelled any time, and you can remove our access whenever you want.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between you (the business that signs up, and the person signing up for it) and Stardog Golf LLC, which operates Stardog Bookkeeping ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

What we do

We're bookkeepers, not your accountant or lawyer. We don't give tax, legal or investment advice, and we don't file tax returns. Your CPA or tax preparer remains responsible for returns, and you remain responsible for filing and paying any tax due. When we prepare a sales tax worksheet, you (or your tax preparer) review it and file it.

Access you give us

You authorize us to access the accounts you connect (Xero or QuickBooks Online, bank and card accounts through Plaid, and Stripe or Square) and to create and update entries in your books to deliver the service. You confirm you're allowed to give that access. You can remove it at any time. Removing it stops the parts of the service that depend on it.

Your part

Price and payment

Monthly bookkeeping is $349 per month, plus a one-time $1,000 setup fee, which we credit back to you once you've been with us for 3 months. We'll confirm the price in writing before you're charged anything. Fees are billed monthly in advance and aren't refundable for a month that has already started, except as stated below. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change.

Close guarantee: if we don't close a month's books by the 5th of the following month for a reason within our control, that month is free.

Cancelling

You can cancel monthly bookkeeping at any time by emailing us. It ends at the end of the current month. We'll finish that month's close if you ask, then disconnect from your accounts. Your books stay in your own Xero or QuickBooks account. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or right away if you break these terms or ask us to do something unlawful.

Our responsibility

We do the work carefully and fix our own mistakes at no charge. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows: the service is provided as is; we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by information you gave us or by the services you connect; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll email current clients at least 30 days before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
